This artist from Japan has an ear for beautiful tones that have one foot in the past and one in the future. His CDs tend to expand on textures of sound, minimalistic in approach but fully realised in textures that Brian Eno would understand deeply. The chording has strong echoes of the Steve Reich sound, but there are other more pleasing diversions from systems music into almost Asmus Tietchens territory. Read more on Last.fm.
