PA19 Magic NUmber: 881282Ah HQ: Budapest.Hungary Mission: Sonic Assault Interfaces: FM, AM, Granular, Sampled, Distorted Attachments: Oxyacetylene cutter, Crawling insect killer Weldroid, also known as Tamás was just a little kid (5), when he had already been obsessed with the sounds coming from their home-built reel-to-reel tape recorder. And because it was the early 80's, among his favourites were Kraftwerk, Jean-Michel Jarre and Boney-M. Fast forward 14 years, and techno was added to the list, along with The Prodigy, Björk, Depeche Mode, and later on Moloko, Plaid, and numerous others. In 1995 he joined the demoscene group called Exhumers as a 3d artist and sound designer, and soon he found himself addicted to the great Impulse Tracker. Since then he has been producing dark, atmospheric electronic music with beats some would consider violent and melodies some say tinted with a touch of sorrow. Weldroid is an electrical engineer with certain affection towards machines and abstract pieces of code (including, but not limited to: Jeskola Buzz, Ableton Live, Renoise, Reaktor, various analog emulations, FM synthesis, and so on...). He also enjoys the randomness of nature, and the beautiful creations of the human mind. And vice versa. Read more on Last.fm.
