Whisperdesire



A band from Jakarta, Indonesia. In the middle of 2004, Rabindra, Mirdad, and Gobel decided to make their own band in order to satisfy their desire to play some music. Soon, Inu, Freddy, and Anika joined them to make the band complete. Robert Smith was the only god for them at that moment, and The Cure was their religion!! As their ability to play music have developed and explored pop music further, they started to make their own original songs. The responds of it made them surprised. Berakhir Awalan, a song about how the end justifies the meaning, stood on the 1st place in the local radio’s chart for a few weeks. Furthermore, they got an offer to contribute one of their songs (Hope & Wish) as a soundtrack for Bukan Mimpi Buruk, an Indonesia film which published in USA in the middle of 2006. Since then, the story’s been going on. People often defined their music as indie pop or Brit pop or might be just pop. But they do not want to classified their music into one particular genre, they just play, create, and sing the tunes that come out from their own hearts and see what it is gonna be.
