“Mecânica Celeste Aplicada”, by Yoñlu (the stage name of Vinícius Gageiro Marques), is a song that blends melancholic poetry with philosophical and astronomical references to speak about love, distance, and loneliness. The song was originally published by Vinícius on an online forum where he shared compositions and messages with friends and listeners. Yoñlu, the artistic name of Vinícius Gageiro Marques (September 1, 1989 - July 26, 2006), was an alternative Brazilian musician. He committed suicide on July 26, 2006, just 36 days before his seventeenth birthday. He left a note thanking his parents for their support, as well as a CD of his music. His style is a mixing of Experimental, Bossa Nova, Indie and Lo-Fi with a very depressive/melancholic atmosphere. All his music was produced in his own room, alone.
