ZE:A (제국의아이들), also known as the Children of Empire, is a [placedformed]South Korean nine-member group formed under Star Empire Entertainment. They first appeared publicly in April 2009 on Mnet’s “Office Reality,” which documented their training process leading up to their debut. The group consists of Kevin, Kwanghee, Siwan, Lee Hoo, Taeheon, Heechul, Minwoo, Hyungsik, and Dongjun. ZE:A was officially formed on January 7, 2010, with the release of their first mini-album, Nativity, featuring the lead single Mazeltov. They made their official debut on KBS Music Bank just eight days later, on January 15, 2010. Their first compilation album, often referred to as the Best Album, was released on September 18, 2015, along with its title track, Continue. Currently, the group is on indefinite hiatus, with Star Empire confirming that they will return when the time is right. ZE:A has three active subunits: ZE:A FIVE (composed of Siwan, Hyungsik, Kevin, Minwoo, and Dongjun), ZE:A 4U (featuring Kwanghee, Lee Hoo, Taeheon, and Heechul), and ZE:A J (which includes Kevin, Taeheon, Heechul, Minwoo, and Dongjun).
