They live in the entire silence. One day the great Rainbow Serpent (Zmey Raduga) decided to ask Mother-Earth to give sounds to her children. As he could not talk he found a hollow log eaten from within by termites and breathed out his entreaty out of it. And there happened a Miracle. The Earth harked to his request and gave her song to everybody. Thus the first sound was created. A hollow log is the first musical instrument and now it is called the Flute of the Great Rainbow Serpent or Didgeridoo. The song of the Earth flew into the sky and turned into Rainbow. And since that time the Earth is filled with sounds: water, stones, sand, birds and animals can also sing songs now. They say that the sound of the magic flute Didgeridoo still fulfils the most secret wishes of those who hear this sound. Long-long ago that sound was born In the entrails of the Earth.
