ZONEOTURA means the combination between opposing mathematical elements and the theory of musical structures. When the patterns emerged it was definetly clear: categories don't exist. We tried to accept this for a long period of time but human habits ever demanded for smaller terms to devide the legitimacy into pieces. ZONEOTURA's attempt is to leave these categories behind. Founded in the last millenium by Z-Neo and his brother they developed their individual way to explore new neat and unexpected fragments of beats and harmonies. In 1992 there was the birth of this electronic music project. From the beginning there was a strictly focus on Breakbeats and Oldschool-Hardcore. After finishing S.A.E. the Psy act NAKED TOURIST was founded by DJ IGUANA and Z-NEO in 2001. Several live gigs and releases on different labels followed and made NAKED TOURIST a well known name for those who know. During this time Z-NEO also released some of his Breakbeat tracks on south germany's label RISK INDUST and a remix for Hardcore band LIMBOGOTT on TIEFDRUCK/UNIVERSAL. Besides Z-NEO made some other categorized music like Dub, Downbeat/Lounge, Emo-Core, House, Electro, NuSkool Breakbeats, Psy Breakbeats and Drum n Bass. The search for more knowledge about the different styles and the difference between getting teached about categorized scales and just using them leaded in a special music which was searching for a name that describes how the different elements could be brought together. Zoo and Natura combined with Neo developed to ZONEOTURA. ZONEOTURA is consequently supported by some nice technical helpers like Micro Modular, Nord Lead, Sherman Filterbank 2, MS-20, Transient Designer, Multiface, Adam P11 and a lovely UAD. This brings the option to get most of the noises and sounds which are indispensable for the idea behind the patterns concept. Read more on Last.fm.
