Impermanence Vol. II Darkniss
Cyrusfx has been experimenting with artificial sounds since 1997, attempting to create rhythms & frequencies that stimulate natural pleasure centers in the brain. Cyrusfx was born in Santa Barbara, California. After a few formulative years with the live Industrial Techno outfit Big Techno Fighter, he launched a solo career, combining progressive rock influences with the modern sounds of electronica and beatmaking utilities/softwares. His first CD release was the psychedelica-laden Y in 2000, which traversed hardcore drum n bass, trance, deep-space ambience and classical piano-based pieces. In 2006, Cyrusfx moved to Hawaii and signed with SIQ Records, releasing two collections of more sophisticated & beat-based electronic music, Impermenance Vol. I - Lightniss and Impermenance Vol. II - Darkniss in 2008. The theme of each album revolves around a contrasting musical mood & perspective, once again attempting to criss-cross multiple subgenres of the style and musical culture. Cyrus released Fragmented Feedback Cycles on BTF Records in 2012, which was much more bass and beat heavy (with a couple dubstep tracks to exemplify) than previous releases. If you're lucky you can catch him DJing in clubs around Honolulu and Waikiki. Check www.cyrusfx.com for all the latest happenings. Read more on Last.fm.
