hojascirculares is an interdisciplinary project by Mexican-American artist Ara Hernandez. With a primary interest in exploring liminal areas of sound, moments of harsh noise are contrasted by silence and harmony. Through an improvisational approach, music becomes an intuitive process that can open unexpected doors and unfold instances of resounding light and clarity. The aim of this project is catharsis; accessing healing through a devotion to shadow work. Her first record, Vessel, debuted on How To Dress Well's imprint, Helpful Music. Her sophomore album, Void of Course was released by the Texas-based ambient tape label, Aural Canyon.
