pLumsonic! ( プラムソニック ) are made up of cyborg vocalist Yuu and mad scientist synthmaster Yasushi.K. They say they came from 2039 to produce nostalgic future music. They debuted in 2006 with their album Pavilion, which promised to be of the type of technopop you heard in 1980s sci-fi TV shows and anime. What I love about them is how they remind me more of the early-to-mid 90s j-pop electronica (i.e. Shinohara Tomoe, Denki Groove, a plethora of various anime themes). They're entirely self-produced and they often organise their own indies technopop group lives in Tokyo. Vocalist Yuu has a voice that ranges from moe voice actress to soaring electro diva to hilarious comedienne. Yasushi.K is an active producer and remixer who is also a member of POSIMO and a solo freelancer, while pLumsonic! is his mainstay unit. Read more on Last.fm.
