Rowshan
Rowshan are cousins Naim Cortazzi and Payam Beint, a music duo from Leicester and Oxford. They have been playing together for the last 16 years, finally releasing Rowshan: Vol 1 in 2004. The success of which propelled them on to their second and most recent album Celestial Soul, which came out late 2008. Naim and Payam come from a very musical family. The mothers used to chant and sing together, and Na'ims father and sister would join in with guitar and recorder. Despite making fun of them a bit when they where young, this strong musical background have influenced them greatly and they now do a similar thing, but with some extra space funk in the harmonies. Rowshan toured around England in the summer of 2005 playing at various Baha'i and public events. They like to make a real occasion out of their performances, last year playing in a church with many lit candles and the audience sitting in the pews. Or on other occasions around campfires.
