Instead of blowing up on Tiktok, Mr. Kill Myself was heavily promoted in the Youtube algorithm. Before officially releasing the song, Jvne published the music video to her Youtube channel some time in 2019, but the video was removed due to the inclusion of the infamous scene from the Serial Experiments Lain PS1 game, in which Lain Iwakura shoots herself.
