Written and produced solely by Sombr, the indie-pop song was released on December 27, 2024 and served as the lead single to Sombr's debut album, I Barely Know Her (2025). sombr (born Shane Boose, July 5, 2005 in New York City), is a singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. Released on June 15, 2022, sombr's first single to blow up was caroline, boasting an upwards of 30 million streams today. Due to his platform on TikTok, he has grown a large attraction of Gen Z fans.
