Утроворту

The creative association Утроворту ("Utrovortu") formed in St. Petersburg some years ago. Its core was the band "Golubi i bezumnye kashevary" ("The Pigeons and the Insane Porridgemakers"), a large body of people performing at the intersection of music and experimental poetry. Currently, the association has released the book of poetry and drawings called Pozdniy zavtrak ("Late breakfast") (http://utrovortu.ru/text/book/pozdnii-zavtrak/), the video artwork Mulla v pustyne ("Mullah in the desert") (http://utrovortu.ru/video/movie/mulla/), the album Le Voyage by "Golubi i Bezumnye Kashevary" (http://www.archive.org/details/ca280_pcp), the album "Feeling like a campagnol" (http://www.archive.org/details/ca440_u), DVD "Utrovortu. Live in Zoccolo" (http://utrovortu.ru/video/live/konzert/) and also a number of live recordings and short films. Besides the regular concerts of "Golubi i Bezumnye Kashevary," "Utrovortu" carries out experimental performances, based on the principles of spontaneity and all-round improvisation (mainly musical and near-theatrical).
