夕闇に誘いし漆黒の天使達

夕闇に誘いし漆黒の天使達 (pronounced Yūyami ni Izanaishi Shikkoku no Angel) (loosely translated as Jet Black Angels Luring You To The Twilight), often shortened to “夕闇” (Yūyami / Twilight), is a Japanese comic-style loud rock band who are also active YouTubers and video creators. They are from Atsugi, Japan. The current line-up is: 小柳 (vocalist) ともやん (bass) にっち (drums) YUMA (guitar) PARTY MONSTER (party) Their motto is “信念の無い笑いを中心とした活動” ("activities centred on laughter without conviction") and they're all about blending hard-hitting loud rock with catchy melodies, but wrapped in a thick layer of humour and energetic fun. That said, they're not afraid of being earnest and often their songs blend biting social commentary with this 'comic' approach. Their first full album, はじめての夕闇に誘いし漆黒の天使達 (2019) kicked off their rise and they dropped their second full album 2枚目の夕闇に誘いし漆黒の天使達 in 2021, featuring tracks like “Super Ultimate Happy Happy Song” and others that mix pop sensibility with their heavy sound. In 2022, they released a concept album called 七生活 (“Seven Lives”), that deals with the daily life of a typical young person in Japan and is sometimes referred to by fans as being their 'blue period'. They dealt with the departure of long-term guitarist ミスター千葉 and included songs that explored feelings of depression and hopelessness as well as social satire and MUSIC ZOO, a riotous collaboration with YouTubers 東海オンエア (Tokai On Air). The new line-up, featuring YUMA and PARTY MONSTER, has leaned heavily into the 'loud band' approach and, on YouTube, they’ve amassed over 600,000+ subscribers and are known for blending skits, performance videos, humour, and music. In 2025, the band embarked on an ambitious tour in support of their latest single MECHA MECHA JAPAN, an absurdist, high energy celebration of Japanese まつり culture, bursting with their typically dense wordplay. Outside of the group, they are keen pachinko players, and 小柳 acts as sound producer for the super-anarchic hyperpop-punk idol group 魔訶不思議変革者-デスデス- (The Mysterious Transformer Death Death).
