安寿ミラ

安寿ミラ / Mira Anju*, born 30 March 1960, is a former otokoyaku (male role player) in Japan's famous all-women musical theatre company, Takarazuka (宝塚). She comes from Nagasaki and was the top star of the Flower Troupe (花組) from 30 November 1991 to 5 May 1995. During her time at Takarazuka, she was most known for her dancing ability - she is considered one of the best dancers in the company’s history; but was also considered a talented actress. She formed half of the legendary 'golden combi' Yanmiki (ヤンミキ) along with Miki Maya (真矢みき) and led the group that performed at the London Coliseum in 1994. Along with contributions to cast albums for the shows she appeared in, there were also at least two solo albums released in her name: "Miracles of Loving" and "YAN!yan!YAN!" In her post-Takarazuka career Mira Anju has been an actress, mostly on stage - everything from classical Greek drama and Shakespeare to Broadway-style musicals. In 2002 she played Hamlet (a role she subsequently reprised). She also performs in her own series of shows called FEMALE. The first of these was held in 1997 and in 2020 she celebrated 40 years in show business with 'Vol. 15' of the series. The shows were originally dance-oriented but have gradually moved towards a greater emphasis on singing. In recent years she has turned towards singing chanson, mostly in the Japanese language. She released her first chanson album, “Belle Lune”, on 11 January 2022. A concert to accompany the album was held shortly afterwards. In 2022 she made her debut as a director, overseeing Kazuya Seto's first post-Takarazuka show ( "The ALSTROEMERIA"). She also works as a choreographer (under the name ANJU). However, the name order is usually reversed ('Mira Anju') when her name is written out alphabetically. This is true even on products for the Japanese market. She is also known by the nickname ‘Yan' (ヤン). Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
