Mixian (Rice Noodles) is a Chinese singer of the Hani ethnic minority. She was born in 1983 in a village outside Jinghong City, Yunnan Province. On her first time leaving her mountain village, she was discovered in a singing competition and signed to one of the top Tibetan music companies, which published five audiophile-grade recordings of her voice in 2003. She was recieved the Best Newcomer award for Discovering Tanggula in 2007 and the China Music Golden Bell Award for Best Female Singer. Read more on Last.fm.
