見砂直照と東京キューバン・ボーイズ
Latin big band representing Japan that was formed in 1949 by 見砂直照 (Tadaaki Misago). Abbreviated name is TCB. They performed not only Latin music but also movie music, classical music, Latin arrangements of pop music, etc., and introduced Latin music such as Mambo widely to Japan. They released more than 200 original albums. In 1980 they broke up. In 2005, They reunion with 見砂和照 (Kazuteru Misago : the son of 見砂直照). Read more on Last.fm.
