Blast

Blast was a visual kei band that formed in 2001 and are sometimes referred to as Nagoya kei. Iori, ex-guitarist for Phobia, Yuina, the ex-vocalist for Lustair, and Hiderou, bassist, all decided to form a new band after the disbandment of Lamiel. Not even having a drummer, the three members released their first demo on July, 28th, 2001, which sold out immediately to fans of Lamiel. The same year, they released a mini-album called Kurutta Kaijitsu. In a short while, the ex-drummer of kein joined the band. A new version of their first mini-album was released on April 5th, 2002 (kurutta kaijitsu (ura), and became the first release with their new drummer. Hirusagari no Jekyll to Hyde was the next CD that was released May 2002, sold during lives with the band deadman, later sold via mail and select music shops. This CD contained two songs by Blast and two songs by deadman, one of each being a cover of the other band's song. October of that year saw a third mini-album release, this one called Akai Ryouiki. Latter 2002 and 2003 would be a productive time for Blast as they began touring with various bands, many of them well known such as GULLET, Fatima, ガゼット, and ドレミ團 and many others. Following their busy live tours, they released their fourth and last mini-album, Downer of the World. Throughout 2003, they toured, once more playing with various bands such as deadman, only to disband for good on March 14, 2004. Summarized from JaME Read more on Last.fm.
