AOA

There are at least four artists with this name. 1.AOA (Hangul: 에이오에이; an acronym for Ace of Angels) were a South Korean girl group signed under FNC Entertainment. In October 2016, Youkyung officially left the group. In June 2017, Choa officially left the group. In May 2019, Mina also left the group, followed by Jimin in July 2020 and Yuna in January 2021, Seolhyun left the group in October 2022 and Hyejeong in March 2023. AOA began their career simultaneously promoting as a dance group and band, and officially debuted on July 30th, 2012 with their first single album Angels' Story. In early 2013, the band unit AOA Black released their official single titled MOYA to moderate success. The group found nationwide success in 2014 after a series of hit songs that established them as one of the leading girl groups of their era, including Miniskirt, Short Hair from their first EP of the same name and Like a Cat from their second EP. That year, the group also debuted in Japan under Universal Music Japan with Japanese versions of those hit singles. Their next Korean release arrived in summer 2015, with Heart Attack which debuted at the top of several charts after its release, became one of the most downloaded songs of the year, and one of the longest-charting singles on Melon's top 100 chart. AOA released their first Japanese full-length album Ace of Angels on October 14, 2015, and their first Korean full-length album Angel's Knock on January 2nd, 2017. 2. Working the same way that a DJ works and works on a dancefloor, AOA is an improvised jam unit. Based on the core members of Boredoms bassist Hilah, Bordoms drummer/session percussionist E-Da, Tribal Circus' Miya, Soft's drummer/electronics operator Shinkichi, DJ Tateyamars (programming/sound FX), and session guitarists Bravo Komatsu (Pizzicato 5). 3.
