Bienvenido ortiz jr was born(october 27,1977)in Brooklyn,NY.the 3rd son to Gladys Diaz (mother) 2nd child & 1st son bienvenido"chi-chi" ortiz (father).Better known as B.U.G.$.E. A Brooklyn born hip-hop artist.He started off in the industry as dj looking up to his older brother who was a well known dj in East new york during the 1980's.B.U.G.$.E Has spoke on his influences in music such as slick rick,doug e fresh,big daddy cane,Rakim,kool g rap,notorious Big,2pac wu-tang,nas.Not just hip-hop but all genres as in Hector Lavoe,Muddy waters,Elvis Presley,The Doors,Nirvana Willie Colon etc.Growing up was no easy task.B.U.G.$.E grew up in one of the ruffest ghetto's in brooklyn (Eny)As a child he was exposed to many traumatic events from domestic violence,murder,betrayal & drugs to the passing of his dad from cancer tragically later losing his grandmother to the same illness that took his dad 3 months earlier.By the age of 15 he was a high school drop out with 2 felonies.By 18 his 1 st son was born.B.U.G.$.E then decided to leave the hustling & streets alone.Returning to school & to master the art of hip-hop.Dedicated to creating a future for his kids as well as himself & his family.In the early 2000's he was signed to money game productions ran by fat cat kareem.He seen something in him that he himself couldn't see.The ability to put life in a perspective & tell a story like very few can which was ahead of itself.Being a fast learner he began to intake the creative process in a studio atmosphere instead of running from cops & ducking bullets. As B.U.G.$.E began to gain buzz in the underground scene.He was set to release his 1st mixtape in 2005 for it only to be cut short by the sudden death of his mother.This tragedy lead him to escape into the never loving arms of alcohol & drugs in excessive abuse which lead to a nervous breakdown.he was later diagnosed with bi-polar disorder.For almost 10 years it kept him from music the one thing he loved with a passion besides his family & friends .He dreamed & focused himself to return to the stage setting his sights on 1 goal.Thanks to family,friends & counseling.In 2013 B.U.G.$.E returned to the stage with a new focus & picked up where he left off from years earlier.B.U.G.$.E has teamed up with dacoven production ran by ceo Santega daprince & have returned with a wide variety of versatility with club smash hits such as Miley Cirus & the reggaeton hit Venga y Rompe!.He's set to release a 20 track 4 part Ep series.Volume #1 is set to be released on st.patrick's day 2014 entitled G.O.T.H.A.M which stands for Getting Out The Hood Anyway Music.Not only is he back to performing but is recording material for the next 2 years.. #boulymuzik is the movement Read more on Last.fm.
