Black:List

Black:List was a visual kei band active from 2007 to 2009. The band formed in late 2006 or early 2007 and consisted of vocalist Kyotaro Shimizu (清水京太郎), guitarists Tomozo (友蔵) and Aika (鴉嘩), drummer Rei, and support bassist Jin (迅). Former members included vocalist Ryo (リョウ) and bassist Hisaki. Black:List formed in early 2007. They were signed to Sequence Records, which promoted their bands via omnibus CDs titled "Deviant's Struggle". Black:List's first feature on one of their promotional CDs were on the one with the subtitle Kounyuu Tokuten (購入特典), which was available via mail-order. Their song "Genuine Malice" was featured, along with songs by exist†trace, gemmik and ClearVeil. The cd was released on 31 January 2007. The cd was rereleased on live events and eventually for anyone to buy. They held their first live on March 15 and later released their first single "DESPERATE" on June 15, 2007. Forming vocalist Ryo and bassist Hisaki left the band on September 20, 2007. Black:List paued activities in search of new members. They found their new vocalist Kyoutarou (狂太郎) who joined on January 21, 2008. They held their band on hold for a bit longer, but chose to resume activites on March 15, when they got support from the bassist Jin (迅). The band reintroduced themselves at the Meguro ROCKYMAYKAN show on the same day, together with the bands L'epriaca, WHITEBLACK and Art Cube. At the liveshow, they also released their new single "Throw hope away." for free to the attendees. They played a show at Shinjuku HOLIDAY SHINJUKU on April 5, together with Anjyu' and カル・ヴァリ. They played a show at Kawasaki CLUB CITTA' on May 1, together with Dio - Distraught Overlord and Secilia Luna. The single "MELANCHOLY" was released on May 24, 2008. They were featured on several omnibus CDs afterwards, but only with previously released songs. In October 2008, they went on a European Tour together with exist†trace. They played in Belgium, Finland, Germany and France. They released the split EP "Europe tour edition" with exist†trace, but this one also only featured previously released songs. After returning from Europe, they played several live shows together with other visual kei bands, but they still weren't releasing any new music. The band announced they would disband on January 8, 2009.
