Otomonai Mina (Japanese: 乙茂内 美奈; Korean: 전미나; born October 14, 1998 in Seoul, South Korea), known professionally as Chanmina (ちゃんみな) is a Japanese-Korean rapper, singer and songwriter. Born to a Japanese father and a Korean mother, Otomonai was influenced by her mother who was a ballerina, Mina started learning ballet, piano & violin at a young age. She lived in South Korea until she was 3 years old, and after that spent her childhood visiting South Korea, Japan and the USA. She entered a Japanese elementary school, but was bullied for not being fluent in Japanese. In elementary school she started writing lyrics, and in high school she started composing seriously. Initially, she dreamed about working in South Korea, but ended up staying and working in Japan since her Japanese rapper friends did not want her to leave. She applied for the 9th tournament of BAZOOKA!!! High School Student RAP Championship (BAZOOKA!!! 高校生RAP選手権), where high school students compete at freestyle rapping. She ended up losing on the 2nd round. On April 18th, 2016, she released her debut single Mirror, which topped the iTunes Store hip-hop ranking. On August 31st on the same year, she announced her second single Princess. She made her Korean debut in September 2022 with the single Don't go, featuring her partner ASH ISLAND.
