Jangar
Jangar is a heavy rock unit from Denpasar, Bali. The band formed in 2015 by Gusten Keniten (vocal) Raibio (bass), Pasek Darmawaysya (drum), and Dewa Adi (guitar) who also the lead guitar player for metalcore band, Mom Called Killer. Even though they are categorized primarily as heavy rock unit, group’s members cited band such as Red Fang, Clutch, The Sword, Deep Purple, and Kyuss as influences, resulting the group’s style generally classified as stoner rock. In 2015, the band released a three-way split cassette with Bandung’s grindcore unit, and Jakarta’s heavy punk band, . ’s first EP was released independently in 206, followed by a reissue of the EP in 2017 under Trill/Cult Records. In 2018, signed with Berita Angkasa (a record label based in Jakarta who also released albums for bands like and ) for their debut album. On October 1, 2019, Jangar officially released their debut album Jelang Malam . The heavy metal / stoner rock album consists of 10 anthemic songs and collaborates with local artists such as Rian Pelor (Detention / ex - Auman) on Negeri Nego and Doddy Hamson from on Haerath I.
