Jolin Tsai I-lin (Chinese: 蔡依林; pinyin: Cài Yīlín; born September 15, 1980), also romanized as Jolin Cai, is a Taiwanese singer, songwriter, record producer, and actress. She is a prominent figure in the Chinese-language music industry and has been noted for her influence on the development of dance-pop in Greater China. Her work incorporates a range of musical styles and frequently involves a high degree of creative control. Tsai was born in Hsinchuang, Taiwan, and gained public attention in 1998 after winning a singing competition organized by MTV Mandarin. She released her debut album "1019" in 1999, which established her early popularity. Subsequent albums, including "Don’t Stop" (2000), "Show Your Love" (2000), and "Lucky Number" (2001), contributed to her commercial success in the Taiwanese music market.
