7 piece from southern California on home to heart records formed in high desert late 2023 with the lineup of Yavi and Nate on guitar, Erick and Jace switching between bass and drums. The first show was on October 21st 2023 at The Haven Pomona with letsmake nothing happen, me plus you, and Theodore war. The first show with the new lineup of Jack now on drums and Christian added as a 2nd vocalist was on January 20th with Death of James Dean, Onewaymirror, Gxllium, as of this show they share members with versera, Theodore war, letsmakenothinghappen, and clay birds. during the march socal run with let's make nothing happen, Coleman joined the band as a 3rd vocalist, the next month they recorded and put out their first EP. kiowa also played the first home to heart fest on June 29th in Los Angeles, later next month in July and August they went out on a tour with sinema and onewaymirror. stopping in San Diego, Los angeles, Fresno, Santa Cruz, Chico, Eugene, Portland, Seattle, and Sacremento. In June of 2025, the band got into controversy and got cancelled for being part of a group chat in their local scene that supposedly had lots of misogynistic talk, sexualizing female musicians including members of the band Febuary. Some members, drummer Jack and vocalist Christian, publicly denounced this, claimed no involvement, and announced they either left the band or were kicked out.
