Medolic

Medolic is the conception of New Zealand born, Brisbane claimed, artist and songwriter Lix Bacskay (pronounced batch-koy). Tired and uninspired by the righteous removed from the real, Lix draws lyrical pictures incomparable yet not dissimilar to great narrative artists such as Springsteen, Presley, Cash and Mitchell. Influenced by poetic liberators like Buckley, Yorn, Fanning and G. A. Richards, she crafts a-typical stories of her own human-ness with their feet in the everyday and their eyes on an ever changing horizon. The sound itself tip-toes its way between the footsteps of rock and blues revolutionaries, teetering on the edge of the deeper and darker, remembering all the while its country upbringing. Medolic was conceived in 2005, with conscience and without foregone conclusions. Nothing More, an acoustic demo recorded at James North Productions (Brisbane), is already catching the attention of watchful industry eyes. Read more on Last.fm.
