Parlovr
Parlovr (pronounced “parlour”) was an indie rock band from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, active between 2007 and 2012. The group was composed of Alex Cooper (vocals, keyboard), Louis David Jackson (vocals, bass), and Jeremy MacCuish (drums). Known for their energetic performances and emotionally charged sound, their music blended elements of garage rock, pop, and post-punk. In 2010, they released the EP Hell/Heaven/Big/Love, followed by their second studio album, Kook Soul, in 2012. Kook Soul was included in the long list for the 2012 Polaris Music Prize, an award given to Canadian albums of artistic merit. The band gave concerts in Canada, France, and China before disbanding.
