Snye

snye (pronounced snye, always in lowercase) is a bedroom sized musical project, which is based in a remote kibbutz in the remote land of Israel, and got it's starting point in the winter of 2006-2007. It's singer, keyboardist, bassist, fan, manager and occasional groupie is a child trapped in a young man's body (or viceversa) who goes by the name of David A. Prior to creating snye,David had already a minuscule history of creating electronic music in his bedroom,in 2004 he conceived,as Kibbutzboy,a monotonous and unbearably repetitive instrumental lo-bit piece called "Landscapes" which includes tiny samples of "The Landscape is Changing",by Depeche Mode, and he hoped it will take over the world, and, unsurprisingly, the world was already taken. Undeterred, and influenced by the likes of Kraftwerk,Young Marble Giants,The Postal Service,Figurine, etc,he embarked in the summer of 2006 on yet another attempt to create bedroom music, but this time adding poetry previously written,so he created, now as "The Tamagotchis",a sweet and self-deprecating song called "Way of Life" ,sensing a renewed drizzle of creatity,he started to search for websites to host his new project, only to find out that another band already had that name,so searching for a new name he found a cute, small word,"snye" and David joyfully adopted it to his heart ever since, which the same can't be said about the song that started it all, that will have to wait to receive another musical treatment. In the winter of 2007,David,now definitively under the moniker "snye" recorded a couple of songs: "Friends for a Day",and "Oh Lily",and the drizzle became dry once more until two winters later when he recorded "Good Bye Polar Boy" and now a (yet another) drizzle of creativity started and David is now hardly struggling on new songs, hoping to expand his fanbase to a number that can be counted on two hands...
