Soundserif

Soundserif is a band born along with their first album ("12 pieces in the shape of an apple") project. It is a group of musicians strongly influenced by each other's musical backgrounds –– which are just too various and complex to be reported here. Some of the most important are the Beatles (whose White Album is often referred to as "the Bible"), XTC, Steely Dan, Beach boys, Squeeze, Jellyfish and, more generally, english and american pop and powerpop. At the moment the band is working – together with the producer and sound engineer Piero Manzo – on the forecoming EP "Pieces", which will anticipate 5 of the 12 "pieces" by which their first album – coming out in 2009 – is composed. One of them, "Laptops", will feature as a special guest the NYC guitarist Vinnie Zummo (Check out Vinnie's new CD: "Swinging Guitar Sounds of Young America"), who has been playing over the years together with artists like Joe Jackson, Art Garfunkel and Roger Daltrey.
