Stimilion
Stimilion was founded in January 1997. A few nights of rehearsing were enough to face the crowd on the 28th of February, only eight weeks after founding the band, they were supporting Randy, a flagship of Swedish Punk Rock. But Stimilion were a German avalanche, playing their farm fresh songs and blasting their opinion at the pit. Their songs are loud, fast, powerful and melodic. Their first demo (March 1997) went where it belongs ... into the hands of concert promoters and club owners. And Stimilion played like hell. Whenever possible, and in every possible venue. Be that major events like the "Lords of the Boards", one of the biggest European Snowboard Events or in front of 30 people, playing live is what makes them tick! That commitment was not in vain, Stimilion became a live band that rocks and they have supported bands like Blink 182, The Living End, Strung Out, U.S. Bombs, Hardcore Superstar, Randy, The Bones, Bombshell Rocks and Shelter. Against all financial odds they recorded two 4 Track EP's, have a track on Wolverine Record's "Chart Busters Vol.4" compilation as well as on a hand full of other compilations and feature on the soundtrack of different Snowboard videos. The number of fans is steadily growing and their powerful blockbusting concerts have long since become their trademark. Their first Long Player "In And Through The Fight" marks another stepping stone of their life in Punk Rock. 12 songs that reflect the development of the past three years. Up front Punk Rock, nothing less. Spiced up with a tribute to Mike Ness, a song featuring the Munich Dub Sound System "Les Babacools" and a cover version of the "Rembrandt" classic "I'll be there for you" that helps us endure our daily helping of "Friends". In October 2001 both former guitar players left the band for personal reasons. Stimilion singer Flo Integrale overtook the guitar part, introducing a different, more rock'n roll sound. As a three-piece-band a demo was recorded in October 2001 an another 7 track demo in July 2002 - marking just the beginning of a new level... in August 2004 the guys called in the end of the band due to several reasons - non of them being creative or personal differences or the usual stuff. however, this was the end but let's what the future brings...
