Sydänpuu
Sydänpuu is a Finnish rock band from the northern town of Kemi. Risto Koskinen and an unknown artist mysteriously named Allan Anderssén* decided to compose a few songs for fun and so Sydänpuu was formed. They recorded several demos between 2005 and 2007, which are available on mikseri.net. In May and June 2008 they entered the studio to record their debut album. Risto was able to record the drum parts but the remainder of the recording had to be abandoned because "Allan" had a bad case of food poisoning. It is unknown whether or when the plans to record an album will be resumed. Sydänpuu are: Allan Anderssén - vocals, guitars, keyboards, bass, programming Risto Koskinen - drums Allan also appears to be the lyricist, composer and producer. *Of course, anyone familiar with Sonata Arctica recognises Allan as ex-guitarist Jani Liimatainen.
