zsasz
Zsasz was a Japanese idol metal group formed in Tokyo in 2019. The band made its debut on October 22, 2019, under the production of Utsu-P (鬱P), a well-known metal and vocaloid music producer. The group was composed of members Saku (朔), Tim Vincent (ティム・ヴィンセント), Shuugetsu Shino (愁月しの), Nagase Ritsu (ナガセリツ), and Rom (ろむ). Zsasz became recognized for blending intense metal sound with idol pop elements, a signature of Utsu-P's distinctive production style, which merged intense metalcore sounds with electronic and pop undertones. Zsasz released several works during their career, beginning with their self-titled EP in early 2020. Their debut album, titled ⸮ (read as Percontation Point), was released in March 2021. The album featured a mix of new songs and re-recorded tracks from Utsu-P’s earlier works, combining aggressive metal instrumentation with catchy idol melodies. In addition to their album, Zsasz released the EP Dark Hero in July 2022 and continued to put out a series of singles and digital releases. These included Otaku no Uta in late 2021, and several digital singles throughout 2022 and 2023. The group’s second full-length album, ∄, was released on October 18, 2023. Zsasz disbanded less than a month later on November 4, 2023, marking the end of their four-year run in the idol metal scene. Read more on Last.fm.
