“Breathe” is a collaborative effort between Joji and long-time 88rising DJ and producer, Don Krez. This is the second time the two have collaborated, after “Red Rubies.” The song was initially leaked one year prior to its release as “Lemme Know” and became a mysterious hit among fans, but slowly faded into obscurity in the coming months. The song features a hypnotically melodic vocal act and psychedelic production. Joji appears to be singing about a relationship in which he felt “trapped in a cage,” or suffocated. The company has gained popularity as a musical platform and label for Asian artists such as Keith Ape, Rich Brian (formerly known as Rich Chigga), Joji, and Higher Brothers.
