Having participated in various hip hop projects since 2002 (writing, producing and performing many songs), Apanemic, born in 1987 in Ioannina (Greece), continues his journey on pulsating musical paths, by experimenting with the production of instrumental sample-based music, using an Akai MPC 2000XL as his loyal companion. His influences, as well as the habit of digging and collecting old records, were the reasons that made him sit in front of his MPC weaving beats. His sounds of choice derive from a wide range of music that reaches from the early 50's to late 70's, focusing on records that have spent decades being out of the radar. The final result has a rare, groovy, retro and warm sound, sometimes smoothly mixed with swing and shake melodies, while in other occasions an addition of psych elements is made, or generally anything else that might lead back in the groove ...
