Emery Augustus Modesto (born 24 August 1988) is a singer-songwriter from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Augustus is a big fan of Rihanna and Christina Aguilera and attributes his influence of singing to a huge variety of artists, including Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury, Beyoncé, Beatles, Alicia Keys, Chris Martin, Justin Timberlake, Backstreet Boys, Amy Winehouse, Adele, amongst others. He started writing songs at the age of 9. When he was 14, he decided to learn piano and guitar by himself so as to sing during events in Church. Having been part of some bands, he decided to start his solo career. He took part in song-writing contests, having won all of them as Best Singer and also three of them as Best Original Song. He also started working on his début album, with authorial songs in Portuguese but he made a break to start writing in English. In 2014, he decided to move to Ireland in order to work on his international career. In 2015 he announced that his first album as an EP, named Autumn Colours, were to be released this year.
