Named for the INCO Superstack, a 380 meter tall smoke stack which dominates Sudbury's skyline, this piece is one of Travis' most successful explorations of polyrhythm, featuring a riff in 4/4 time which is rhythmically manipulated to sound anything but. The ending half of the song is taken from a song Travis wrote in his youth called "The Gate", and is used as a vehicle for his fluid soloing. Read more on Last.fm.

Borealia is the solo project of Fishing For Pigeons guitarist Travis Lausch. It combines the atmospherics of bands like Rush and Devin Townsend with the compositional approach of Steve Vai and Frank Zappa, and adds the heaviness of Meshuggah at times. Though most of the tracks were recorded in 2006 and 2007, Travis finally chose January 2010 to release the Home EP for free via Last.FM and Facebook, among other sources. Read more on Last.fm.
