Existential Kitchen

Winter was written by CloudBurstSound as their first attempt at a new sound. They had copied and covered songs for years and started to branch out into their own music influenced by others. Winter takes the cold aspects of the season and turns them into words. The winter of the heart and the winter of the mind are each reflected in this song. Read more on Last.fm.

CloudBurstSound are a band formed in Greater Manchester, UK in 2012. They have influences from The Smiths to Leonard Cohen and represent a dark melancholic sound. Their first album was released in 2012, called Existential Kitchen, based on a conversation had around a kitchen table about the differences between Kitchens and Living rooms. They have a myspace and a youtube account, although Last f.m is where they put their completed works. They have a number of cover songs that they are working on as well as a second and third album in the pipeline. Their lead singer Alex BlancAguets, writes about pretty much everything on Blogger and describes some of the influences to the bands sound. The dark sound of Existential Kitchen changes as the albums progress and the lives of the band members change as well. It's not all meant to be dark and melancholic, although stuff comes out like that often. Read more on Last.fm.
