Dvar is a Russsian electronic virtual band that gradually evolved from darkwave to comfy synth. The members of Dvar have kept their identities secret, so little is known of their formation. The band members claim to have heard the music they are playing in their dreams. The music was presented to them by a creature called Dvar, which took the shape of a giant bee. All of the band's music is devoted to Dvar and directly inspired by it. The members of the band do not claim to write the music themselves, but say that they serve merely as messengers. The lyrics, according to them, are performed in the fictional Enochian language. Despite their electronic sound, Dvar are widely regarded as gothic/darkwave artists because of the hype associated with them in the beginning of their career. Their early fans stated that terrible things happened to those who had listened to the band's music. Their earlier works were darker while later works are something like an OST to fantasy book, where heroes have gone completely nuts. Dvar are also known for their remix of Caprice's song Waltz. They also collaborated on Caprice's album Kywitt! Kywitt!, in the bonus track Fae Fae Fae Fae Fae Fae Fae. SInce 2012, Dvar went on a lenghty hiatus. However, in 2021, their song Ko Ki Ki went viral in TikTok. This revitalized the interest to the band, and in 2022 it released a new album. Read more on Last.fm.
