FigureItOut is a nostalgic pop punk project created by American artist, Mike Weakley. In 2012, after graduating from the University of Arizona, Mike recorded a 10 song demo with a previous bandmate, Steve Arce, in his garage studio in Phoenix, AZ. Growing up playing shows with Phoenix local bands like blessthefall, The Maine, and The Word Alive, he formed a band and set his sights on performing with A.J. Ward (Drums) and Ashton Allison (Bass). In 2014, Matt Walker took over bass duties and the band went on to record two EPs. Beau Bokan (blessthefall) was featured on the 2nd EP title track Nothing to Lose which aired on BBC Radio 1's Rock Show and created buzz on Alt Press among other publications. After multiple member changes in 2017, the project centered back to one. Mike set his sights on finding his audience online with his own reimagined pop punk versions of Closer, Dammit (Acoustic) and Without Me produced by Matt Good (From First to Last, Asking Alexandra, Anti-Flag). Matt introduced Mike to producer Hiram Hernandez (Jared Dines, Dragged Under) and set his goal on creating his first full length record. After tireless hours in 2019, they culminated influences like blink-182, Angels & Airwaves and Neck Deep to create the debut album Searching For More with singles released throughout 2020. Now with FigureItOut's anticipated album release, Mike plans on getting his voice heard on the web to reach as many pop punk lover's nostalgic ears as possible. Read more on Last.fm.
