Brian Fox (aka Foxman) is an artist, singer/songwriter and musician. In 2001, Brian founded Foxman Music and began writing/releasing his own albums. His demo CD, Songs From The Gallery was released in 2001 and contains 9 songs. Foxman followed this up with his release of Like The Freak You Are (9 songs) in 2005. After a brief hiatus, Foxman returned to action and released 3 albums over a 4 year time period; Crazy Like A Fox (2010/11, 13 songs), Folklore & Superstitions (2013, 15 songs) & The Hollywood Blacklist (2014/15, 17 songs). Over the years, Foxman has built up a strong global following through a vast assortment of social media websites. He is best known for being a creative writer and a witty lyricist who employs a bit of a Hollywood approach, which means that he doesn't always draw influence from his own personal life experiences. Each song has it's own unique personality and theme. Foxman is the primary musician on all of his CD releases (vocals, bass, guitars, keys and percussion). His creativity is well evidenced by a very diverse group of musical influences which include; Pink Floyd, Social Distortion, Nirvana, Metallica, REM, and many others. The Hollywood Blacklist is currently receiving radio airplay in his home town of Tampa Bay, Florida at WMNF 88.5 FM. As an artist, Foxman is best known for his collages and acrylic paintings. Some of his paintings were used in the graphic design for the Like The Freak You Are CD. The handmade voodoo dolls used on the front cover of the Crazy Like A Fox CD are also his work. Foxman also employs an artistic approach in many of his music videos which are made up of collections of digitally edited moving still images. This artistic approach is on full display in the videos for Same Old Troubles and the CD sampler for The Hollywood Blacklist. The video for Sweet Adelaide (Crazy Like A Fox, Folklore & Superstitions) was filmed/directed by Kevin Killelea and released in early 2012. The video was filmed in various locations throughout LaSalle Co, Illinois, where Brian was born. Much of the filming involves cemeteries and an array of clever camera angles and effects. The song/video is a chilling venture through the realm of immortality and painful loss. This is the most successful music video ever released by Foxman Music. Brian was born in Ottawa, Illinois. His ancestry is 1/2 Irish, 1/4 German and 1/4 English. On his maternal grandmothers side he is a descendant of John Rutledge of South Carolina (2nd Supreme Court Justice, signer of the US Constitution). The Fox surname is of Irish descent.
