Give or Take

“Scarred” is the second track from Giveon's debut studio album Give Or Take. Even if the other person wants the “relationship” to work, Giveon knows better and knows he hasn’t healed yet, telling her it’s his fault, not hers. As stated in his interview with Apple that is exactly what this song is about. Being with someone after a breakup is easier than being alone, even though you know it’s not going to last because you’re still “scarred”. Read more on Last.fm.

Giveon Dezmann Evans (born 21 February 1995 in Long Beach, CA, United States), known mononymously as Givēon, is an American R&B singer and songwriter. He rose to prominence with his 2020 song 'Chicago Freestyle' (with Drake), which peaked at number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100. That same year, Giveon signed with Epic Records to release two extended plays: the Grammy Award-nominated Take Time and When It's All Said and Done.
