There is more than one artist named Glissando: 1) Formed in 2002, Glissando create breathtaking soundscapes with piano and guitar. Add to that the beautiful haunting vocals of Elly May Irving and something quite wonderous is formed before your very ears. Based in Leeds, UK, the core of the band is Elly May Irving and Richard Knox but live shows often feature other players. The ambient and sometimes experimental sounds bring to mind the likes of Low, Rachel's, Gregor Samsa, Bat For Lashes, Stars of the Lid and Cocteau Twins. 2) A catalan indie-pop group. They use the name Glissando* (with an asterisk) to make a difference between other groups with the same name.
