Hypnocrates is a post-punk / darkwave band based in Olso, Norway. The band's music is influenced by a range of genres originating in the 80s, from gothic rock and shoegaze to synth-pop and new wave. Mixing cold electronic drums, dramatic synthesizers and layered guitars, Hypnocrates created a sound that appeals to the full spectrum of emotions, from gloominess and melancholy to serenity and happiness.
