Ildfrost were a dark ambient duo formed in 1992 in Norway consisting of Jens Petter Nilsen and Jane Christina Aasterud. They were the first non-Swedish group on the Cold Meat Industry label but moved to the Fluttering Dragon label in 2000. Their music can be described as dark, frightening, but also challenging. Never very active, and containing mainly subtleties, the music, while very soft and approachable, is geared primarily towards a shift in your state of awareness, one of dreariness or oblivious withdrawal. They split up in 2003.
