There are at least six bands with name of Insult: 1) A Dutch Fastcore Band 2) An American Powerviolence Band 3) A Swedish Death Metal Band 4) Insult PL (metal / alternative) 5) Insult ITA (old school hc) 6) Insult (old school punk/hardcore from Folkestone UK) ______________________ 1) Insult were a Dutch hardcore punk / fastcore band that plays in the vein of Infest, Siege, and Charles Bronson but with a much more fierce attitude - mixing elements of old school hardcore punk and even death metal. Lyrics center around an angry and pissed off as fuck attitude; exhibiting despise towards scene formation and above all, emo kids. Members of Insult were also - and still are - active in such Dutch bands as Bile [AKA Skullhog], Inhume, Supository, HSML (Hot Steamy Monkey Love), and Grizley Adams. In 2001, Insult played their last show ever and in the following year of 2002, released a 37-track discography CD aptly entitled 'Emo-bashing Fastcore Pimps', compiling all the band's recordings. [additional info] Brutal fastcore unit inspired by the likes of DROPDEAD, INFEST, NEGATIVE APROACH and SIEGE unleashing a full-scale campaign for Emo-destruction throughtout shows in Europe and the UK. Formed as an fast old school HC/Punk-band in 92 and splitting up after their transformation into violent Fastcore in late 95, the band reformed in 97 to attack the trendy-ass HC/Grind-scene at the time and slaying all Emo-weeners in the process. The band played tons of shows in Europe with bands ranging from local HC/Crust/Grind-acts to astablished names such as HARD TO SWALLOW, CONVERGE, DROPDEAD and PHOBIA to name but a few. The band took part in a UK tour with fellow Dutch Hash-Thrashers BSE and after releasing an MCD, 7, a couple of split 7es and contributing songs to several compilations, the band seized to excist once again in 2001. All members are still active in bands ranging from INHUME, BILE, HSML, FOLD, SUPPOSITORY and various side-projects. US Insult have more traditional hardcore sound without death metal influence. Also they released split with Ruido and LP called I Wanna Be a Burn Victim (1997). ADDTL INFO: INSULT US FORMED IN 1991 AND WILL HAVE A NEW RELEASE IN 2008 ON WICKED SICK RECORDS. Insult (Boston USA) plays fast and short songs . Screaming vocals with a vicous H/C attack guitar sound and tight bass/ drums.The bands approach was a very lean musical style. Insult (us) was formed in late 1991.
