JIGDRESS is a Japanese indie/alternative rock band from Setagaya, Tokyo formed in 2020. Their music has shoegaze and post-rock influences. Members: Vocals & Guitar: 山崎大樹 (Daiki Yamazaki) Main lyrics and composition. His nickname is Dai-chan. He is also in charge of flyer and merchandise design. He uses a Fender JAZZMASTER and a Fender MUSTANG . During live performances, he uses effects that he made himself. Guitar: イセノ (Iseno) He uses a Fender STRATCASTER and mostly homemade equipment. He also works as a recording engineer, mixer and video editor. Bass: ワタナベカズタカ (Kazutaka Watanabe) Responsible for bass and chorus. Joined in April 2023. Uses a 5-string bass. Drums: ヤマグチハヤト (Hayato Yamaguchi) He is in charge of drums and chorus. Powerful drum style. The band wasformed at the end of 2020 by Daiki Yamazaki (guitar/vocals), Iseno (guitar/chorus), and Hayato Yamaguchi (drums/chorus) , who was the drummer in Yamazaki's predecessor band ROKI. They are currently. signed to 99's Scape Records. 2021: March 12th - 1st EP after feedback released on cassette tape and digitally. May 23 - Chase begins live activities pre-CHASER TOUR 2021 Tokyo edition. June 28 - First independent event Ikuseiwaku held November 3rd - Release of 2nd EP slow. On the same day, 1st EP after feedback is also released on CD. November 19th - Held independent event Third Liner. December 21 - Independent event Pitcher's Line (Back to the Mound) held. 2022: February 18th-23rd - Held the Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka tour GOSANKE 2022 with Singers High and Juu. April 2nd - First single Goat digitally released. June 24th - July 25th - First self-planned tour outsider fanclub held. Distributed recordings of several songs at each of the four shows. September 30th - First solo live show ONE SHOT KILL held at Shimokitazawa Daisy Bar. Released 3rd EP 5 packed confusion on the same day. December 16th - Held independent event Sakoku (National Shuttle). 2023: January 30th - Held independent event attachment. February 10th-18th - Held Asylum tour in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka. April 22 - The band held their own event, We Were Too Young to Protect. On the same day, bassist Yoshida's support ended. In a zine they released, they announced that Watanabe Kazutaka had joined the band (announced on social media on April 23). May 2 - The band begins live performances with a new lineup, including new member Watanabe Kazutaka. July 12th - 1st Single Let Down released. July 20th - August 10th - To celebrate the release of their first Singie, they held a Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka tour called Retribution Declaration. The final performance in Tokyo was a solo show. September 30th - Held the self-produced event Sakoku vol.02. On the same day, December 18th, it was announced that a cross-party event would be held at Shimokitazawa BASEMENTBAR/THREE. It was announced that Yamazaki and Yamaguchi's predecessor band, ROKI, would be appearing as guests. Lots of songs about life not going well. Lots of 90s elements. Loud guitar volume.
