Axiom - Single
Joseph Mancuso (Joman) may only be 23 years old but has been producing electronic music for just short of a decade. First inspired by artists like Fatboy Slim and Moby, Joman had a very early induction into the world of EDM; but it wasn't until his cousin gave him a copy of BT's Movement In Still Life and Fruityloops that Joman realized his true passion for dance music. Since then, Joman has produced hundreds of original tracks, performed at massive events such as Global Dance Festival and Electric Daisy Carnival alongside artists as big as BT, ATB, Darude and Gareth Emery (to name a few) and released dozens of original tracks and remixes via his home label Velcro City Records and Adam K's widely popular Hotbox Digital. Many of his tracks have broken into the Top 100 Charts on Beatport in their respective genres, such as his remix of Oh Shit! feat. Messinian's Tha Illest and his original track Patterns Of Infinity. Joman has also seen his name in the charts in the form of remixes from other artists such as Bit Funk, InContext, Deep Focus, Hero and more. His recent electro venture, Ghostbusters, a collaboration with fellow Denver producer Jontron, was released on Manufactured Superstars' label, Manufactured Music. In the fall of 2010, Joman decided to participate in Beatportal's Deadmau5 - The Ultimate Remix Challenge, in which artists were pitted against each other to produce their best remix of the popular Canadian producer's track, SOFI Needs A Ladder. Out of roughly 800 submissions, Joman's remix was selected as one of only 10 semifinalists. Despite not taking first place, the contest resulted in a tidal wave of international radio and DJ support, including competition winner Mos Dam, who offered to play Joman's music at Ultra Music Festival. Regularly appearing on Pandora, podcasts and local stations, Joman is slowly but surely becoming a recognized name in electronic dance music. Read more on Last.fm.
