Longfellow



There are at least 2 artists with this name. 1. Longfellow are Owen Lloyd (vocals), James Thomas (guitar), Ali Hetherington (piano), Lewis Fowler (bass) and Simon Treasure (drumkit). The band hail from southeast London and make what many describe as emotive alt.pop. Under the managerial wing of Simon Williams (Fierce Panda records), Longfellow have enjoyed a frantic 18 months where they have supported Keane for their tenth anniversary, toured with 80s legends Hall and Oates and played SXSW festival on behalf of BBC Introducing. Their recent single 'Medic' was cross-play listed on BBC Radio 2, 6music and XFM. The band have just played Rough Trade, Brooklyn as a part of CMJ Festival sponsored by Ben Sherman, PRS and the British Embassy. Longfellow are kicking off 2015 with the release of a new EP 'Remedy'. The next few weeks will see the band playing a live session for XFM, a sold out support with Coasts at Scala and their biggest headline show to date at The Borderline. 2. Longfellow were a skate punk band from Orange County, California, who released three albums and one EP between 1996 and 2002, including 1998's And So On, produced by Warren Fitzgerald and released on Kung Fu Records.
