Making his Storming debut with the simply superb 'The Rope', Marlow is one of the new breed of Dubstep producers making waves in the scene, but has accomplished this in a very short time. Taking influences from, amongst other things, 70's psychedelic funk band Parliament/Funkadelic, Marlow manages to combine musical elements with underground bassline sensibilities and the result is a truly fresh sound. With a slew of releases lined up for a multitude of labels, Marlow's star is definitly rising and is certainly one artist to look out for. Caspa 2. Electro Glam groovers Marlow are Gary Durant and Robert Marlow. They began their Stella journey through pop together in 1998 after admiring each others work from afar. Robert had been part of the rich seam of Synthpop acts to emerge from Basildon in the early 1980’s counting Alison Moyet, Depeche Mode’s Martin Gore and best friend Vince Clarke of Erasure as friends and musical collaborators throughout his career. Programming Ace and synth Maestro Gary has been involved in many successful projects including cult combo ‘Subject to Scandal’ Together Marlow have gilded a solid foundation as one of the most exciting, and original act’s on the Synth pop scene and have a bourgeoning following in Europe and the UK. Their live pedigree is substantial with gigs in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Belgium as well as a smattering of prestigious venues in England. Besides the Vince Clarke produced Robert Marlow album ’The Peter Pan Effect’ which was given it’s release after sixteen years in 1999. ’Marlow’ have also released the critically acclaimed E.P ’My Teenage Dream’ in 2002. 2009 brings the release of the album 'Inside/Outside' 3. Short lived Exeter four piece. Exeters own NYC punk band according to Dave Trash City. Played memorable shows with The Walkmen, Slumber Party and Brendan Benson. And local brothers in arms Console and Kendall. Marlow were Frankie Moloney, Graham Voke, Ian Clarke & David Hunt. Produced by Rick Wolkers and The Chief Greg Daniels at the Old Mill Studios, Devon - circa 2000-2002. Released a stand alone EP 'Just Another Fool' consisting of three tracks 1. Just Another Fool 2.
